Getting to know a special child

The special relationship you can develop with your child is something you'll cherish forever. It starts with a photograph and biography of your child. And it continues as you enjoy opportunities to get to know your sponsored child (and for your child to learn all about you!).

Seeing life through your child's eyes

Letters and drawings from your child help you learn about your child's life through his or her own words and experiences. The letters you receive are in your child's own hand, as well as in a translation provided by Field Offices staff (if necessary).

Celebrating special times

Throughout the year, we'll send special birthday and holiday cards you can fill out and return for delivery to your sponsored child. We'll also provide you with a Letter Writing kit complete with stationery, pre-addressed labels and suggestions for letters to help you correspond with your child.

Knowing that you are making a difference

Best of all, you'll actually see the impact that your sponsorship is having. You'll receive regular status reports for Nile Children staff who work with your child. You'll also get timely newsletters and other information for Nile Children throughout the year.

How can I Sponsor A Child

You can help today:

Sponsoring a child through Nile Children costs significantly less that other programs. At only 50 cents per day, less than a price of a cup of coffee, your sponsorship is combined with that of others to creat a family of supporters to care for one child and the community they live in. Wer have designed this as a low-cost program so that the average American, Canadian and European etc can experience the joy of sponsoring a child. At only $30 per month, it is one of the best investements in the future you can make.

When you become a sponsor:

You will be introduce to one of the children of Ethiopia with a beautiful colour photograph that is yours to keep. Your child's personal history and information about their community will accompany the photograph. This will be your chance to get acquainted with your sponsored child and learn more about their interest,skills, and school life.

We'll keep you informed:

Once per year you will receive an updated picture of your sponsored child along with a report on their progress and a list of community achievements.
